History

TimberTec got its official start on 05 October 1999 in the town of Eutin in Northern Germany. On that day, telecommunications engineer Frank Ridder and technical IT specialist Andreas Boll founded their company, TimberTec. Armed with three employees, extensive experience in the timber business and plenty of contacts, they got to work on their first project.

Three months later, the company had grown to seven employees. In 2000, they became the first tenants of a newly erected cube-shaped building in the Eutin industrial park. In 2001, TimberTec became a joint stock company. In 2008, just in time for their anniversary, the now 53-member team moved into their own building in Eutin’s Max-Planck-Straße. Today, TimberTec is over 80 employees strong.
